post or pre mods?
with 'bout $1200 in mods you'll be able to edge mid-low 15s... maybe even 14.9s...

Re: Zero to 60 and 1/4 mile ETs (Carroll Floyd)

Last test I saw in R&T (maybe Nov 99?) had 0-60 about 7.6, 1/4 was 15.6 if I recall correctly. These were about the best times I've seen. Top speed was 130 mph. This is on the stock car of course. But, the numbers really don't tell you much about a car, particularly this car. The steering, handling, the clutch and shifting are a big part of the overall fun. For the overall combination of design style, fun, practically, and fuel economy that I wanted, this car is hard to beat. Of course, you've got to appreciate the design of the NB or you wouldn't be looking.

You can do slightly better then 14.9's with less than 1200 in mods. I'm down to a 14.7 @ 96Mph with Upsolute chip tuning ($250), Bosch 4.0 Bar FPR ($50), custom 3" stainless steel mendrel bent cat-back exhaust ($550), Eurosport Cool-Flo air intake ($225), and a Bailey Motorsports DV ($150).
I might be able to squeeze a little more out of that 14.7. I'm going to wait and try after a few more mods.

R/T posted 0-60 in 7.1 sec. That's the best time i've seen in a decent magazine

That is a good 0-60 time....was it on a 2002 model?

I'm in a NB Sport bone stock and ran 15.6 @ 87 MPH 3 consecutive times. From what I've seen and heard that's about the average. Give or take one or two milsecs.
Re: Zero to 60 and 1/4 mile ETs (Carroll Floyd)

Yes, R&T got 7.1 seconds 0-60. That was a 99. Car and Driver tested a 99 and got 7.3 0-60 and 15.7 in the 1/4. My hand held 0-60 is around 7 flat, and I turned a 15.7 at 87mph last year at the Sears Point sport drags.(first time at the drags) That was with a K&N drop in and an Autotech midpipe exhaust.
