hello one of my clips from the cupholder was pushed too far inside and clipped off. So now i need to open up for the center console, to get the clip into place again.

B8 is unfamiliar here.
Same thing happened to my NMS Passat. Pull up on the cupholder and the trim liner for the center console pops out. Your B8 may be different.

This is mine personally; the only one in the world with EPB switch. Normally, there's a brake handle there.
The cup holders snap out along with faux wood grain insert.

Okay, sadly i don't think mine is that easy then.
It looks way better than a brake handle!!
I have seen some older version of the job i need to do but is on older versions of the passat so i am a little bit worried if its not the same procedure.
I have not fixed it yet, have you managed to do so?

Hi all, I just bought a 2017 Passat and previous owner has drilled a load of holes in the centre console and added an AliExpress 220v socket which doesn't even work 🙄, so I'm looking to replace the centre console and have found one from a 2018 Passat, but this has a 12v socket below the parking brake buttons where there wasn't one previously. Does anyone know if I'll be able to connect the new 12v socket in my car without too much work? I'm hoping there's a connector and it's just a case of plugging it in but I'm not sure I've seen these 12v outlets in the centre console on pre-2018 cars. Thanks in advance!
