I hope that won't crash the internets.people will be too busy pre-ordering the iPhone 4 that day
A webcast is a big event??Really? Why are they making this into such a big event? A) It's a Jetta B) We know it's going to be extremely conservative.
:screwy:
Uh for something this mundane yes?A webcast is a big event??
The Canadian order guide has already been leaked.I'll be interested in knowing the official story on the motors as well--hopefully all of that will be revealed on the 15th. So yeah, I'm moderately interested in knowing the story on the Jetta.
Nope. It's the 115hp 2L from the MK4.Not 2.slow. It's a 2.0T with no turbo.
VW discontinued the 150hp 2.0 from the European market a few years ago.the non turbo 2.0 makes 150+ HP so it would make the 2.5l seem a little useless. Esp since the fuel economy must be alot better.
For VWOA's best-selling model? Yes.Uh for something this mundane yes?
Can't be. That engine can't support DI, which the 2012 Jetta will have. There would be no reason to bring it back when they have a DI-capable 2.0L block already in production worldwide.Nope. It's the 115hp 2L from the MK4.
It will get an upgrade for 2012 though.
Oh that's no good at all--assuming the US gets the same motors. Is the tdi at least the higher output european version or the same 150hp motor that they have now? I hope the enthusiasts get rewarded down the line with some R model of the either the Jetta or (more likely) the golf. At this point in time, there really isn't a single VW that I would buy new either due to lack of interest or an exhorbitant price. An R is about the only VW I could see myself buying new at this point---assuming they actually bring another version over. The Canadian order guide has already been leaked.
