I was looking around and saw a thread where they wired the leds (some kind of strip) directly to the drls in the halogen housing and they would just come on when ever the drls would come on. can someone help me find this?

yes, you can get these from TM Tuning and other places
not sure what thread you're talking about, but quailallstar has them -- check his build thread
edit: wait, *in* the halogen housing? don't know what you're talking about. only the 2012's with OEM LED DRLs have this as far as i know. i was talking about a strip you can get that mounts where the fogs would go and use the fog harness
