I am thinking of getting the 3.0R Legacy to replace the Passat. The problem is there are not many 3.0R's around.

not worth it IMO
about 5 something hp more for 33?? no way....
i saw 2 at the dealer we got our GT at
go spec B if your going to drop cash like that son!

They're very different cars. 3.0R is geared towards luxury, with the suspension tuning and more torque down low. Spec B is a relatively stiff-riding car with a more peaky powerband. Can't really see cross-shopping the two.

Does anyone on here have a 99 or 00 Legacy GT? Was thinking about trying to find one to haul crap in, but most of the Legacy wagons are Lesbarus.

Avoid the '99, unless it comes with service records - the "Phase 1" 2.5L engines (up to '99) are known for head gasket problems.

I test drove a manual wagon GT a few years ago- man was that thing FAST
