I have a Mk3 Cabrio that didn't come with the trunk release button in the center console. Does anyone have any info on what I'll need to retrofit one? I could most of all use a picture of a Cabrio trunk with the factory solenoid installed so I can see what is missing/diffrent from mine and what the solenoid that I need looks like. Search wasn't much help here so any pointers would be cool, once I'm done I'll probably do a nice write up on the project for everyones DIY pleasure.

Anyone know if the solenoid from a Mk3 Jetta will work for my application?

why don't you post up pictures of what you actually have then we might be able to help you out

It's been way below zero out for weeks i haven't had a chance to get pictures yet for anyone who may still be paying attention here :-( If anyone manages to get pictures of their lock solenoid in their Cabrio trunk lid please post them.
