In my experience the VW tips always install somewhat crooked. It's not the tips, its the muffler system that's off kilter. Even worse, after a few months the insides of those tips will start rusting badly.

hey man just an email. i didnt have that problem on my car. sorry to hear maybe like vwvortex said above me that your exhaust is titled or tyy to someone to help install it so u can put pressure on that side up so it can be st8. javi

Mine did the same thing. I bent them to be straight. I took two metal bars and had someone help me bend - left one up, right one down. Worked like a charm.

Okay, so benting them will do? Would about the tips not lining up straight? That's hard to coorect with bending. Help...........

Hey, people. I followed MatchStick's advice and bended the tips to be straight, but I did it using a clamp, which worked well. After putting the tips on, I was thinking "problem's solved" and started the car. To my surprise, the tips rattled like hell!!!!

Then I found that it was because the tips are too close to each other and this can't be corrected by bending them apart, since there is a little piece of metal that holds them together. Now I'm pissed

I can't believe putting the tips would cause such a dilema

, can someone help?

mine were bent too! and i got them over a year ago. anyway, the guys at ATP fckd with them to get them to fit right.

Mine never rattled. Sorry dude... I am giving mine away locally if anyone is interested. Gotta be local though - you come to me. They have some scratches from hitting my old driveway underneath, but not noticeable when viewed from anywhere but below. Hence the "free" part.

mine weren't bent but I had to trim some pipe off before welding them on. They aren't totally parallel to the ground now and point up a bit. I haven't had a problem with condensation yet but if I do I guess I'll have to drill a couple of holes at the low point of the pipe.
